A really pretty antique Art Deco Bohemian Czech yellow satin uranium glass wedding cake beads necklace, hand decorated with gorgeous pink flowers and gold aventurine. The beads have a wonderful iridescent pearlised satin sheen, with swirls running through. Under UV light the beads change colour to green. This is due to the trace uranium content, which is very, very small and totally harmless – done to bring out the colours and make them more vivid, both in natural light and under UV light.
The beads graduate in size and have simple silver tone bead caps, giving the necklace a lovely understated look. They are joined with silver tone links and wire. Hand-made by Artisans in the old Kingdom of Bohemia. Signed ‘Czechoslovakia’ on the jump ring.
