A Fantastic & Versatile Mid-Century Piece – Perfect For This Season!
A fabulous and highly sought after vintage plush mohair Scottish ‘HAMISH MURRAY MODEL’ cape, or poncho with fringe. The cape is a gorgeous aqua colour plaid pattern, with striking black, stone and moss colours. It is lovely soft and cosy – perfect to have around your shoulders on a cold day or evening, both outdoors, or in.
The cape is in wonderful condition, with no damage. The only thing worth mentioning is that one of the original buttons has been replaced with a vintage carved wooden button, which doesn’t look at all out of place. I have been able to find out very little about Hamish Murray – his pieces seem very few and far between and rarely come up for sale. It’s worth noting that ‘Model’ usually refers to a more high end or couture piece. Rare and Highly Collectable.
There is no size given on the label, but my model is UK Size 10 and it fits perfectly.
Measures: 14” from the neck down the arm, to the bottom, including fringe
The back measures 21.5” from the neck to the bottom inc fringe.
Perfect to have around Your Shoulders for a Party or Ball!
