A really unusual and eye-catching, chunky vintage mother of pearl beads and carved flat black stone beads, long necklace. The mother of pearl beads are a fabulously large size, as well as being beautifully iridescent. They contrast so well with the black stone beads, which have a lovely satin finish, with attractive carved detail. I believe this is Soapstone, but I can’t be certain. The beads all vary slightly in shape and size, which is a sure sign that they are hand made. The necklace fastens with a silver infinity clasp, which isn’t marked but has been tested.
A nice long length – measures 27.75”, or 70.5cm.
The mother of pearl beads measure approximately: 12mm – 13.5mm diameter
The black carved beads measure approximately: 35mm x 25mm, 4-5mm thickness
Weight is a Substantial: 146g
