Vintage EDINA RONAY London Designer Shoes Black Suede Leather Strappy Sandals Made in Italy Size 7 ½ – 8 EU41. 90’s Y2K Party Special Occasion.

A fabulous pair of vintage designer EDINA RONAY London black real suede strappy sandals – simply perfect for the Party Season! The sandals have a small platform, suede covered high heels (but not too high!) lovely open toes, with suede bows at the front, real leather insoles, along with a very flattering ankle strap. They are Made in Italy, denoting high quality. You would expect suede covered heels to be scuffed, but no – the heels are in great shape. The shoes are clean and ready to be worn!
Size 41 : UK Size 8 (would also fit 7.5) or 11cm
Heel height 4.25” or 11cm
The Edina Ronay name on the insole is a little worn but still discernible. There is wear commensurate with age and use to the soles, as you would expect, other than these minor imperfections, they are in Wonderful Condition.
About Edina Ronay:
Edina Ronay was born in Hungary. She had a deep connection to fashion and style from a young age – her grandmother would dress up in haute couture and adorn herself in jewellery to hold court in the family’s famous Budapest restaurant. After the family lost everything during WWII and moved to London, Edina’s artistic talents led her to study at Saint Martin’s School of Art. In the early 1970s, she opened a shop on the King’s Road in Chelsea, selling her vintage clothing finds as well as her own luxurious hand-made knitwear designs, which became an immediate success. She soon began to design whole collections. Her collections were carried by all the luxury department stores including Liberty, Harrods and Harvey Nichols in London, Barneys, Bergdorfs and Bloomingdale’s in New York. She has dressed some of the most elegant and beautiful women in the world, from Royalty to red carpet stars including The Princess of Wales, Twiggy, Jerry Hall, Nicole Kidman, Scarlett Johansson and Kate Moss, amongst many others. The brand is still going strong today.
