A FABULOUS vintage Art Deco Revival satin art glass beads double strand necklace, and matching drop earrings set. The beads are really unusual, hand-crafted with swirling stripes like humbug sweets. They have a wonderful iridescence to them and they are an uncommon triangular wedge shape. They would have originated from either Venice or Czechoslovakia.
These fabulous wedge shaped beads are heavy. They are very Art Deco in style and could well have been made in that period, but the aurora borealis beads date this necklace to the 1950’s. All the beads are in excellent condition, with no damage that I can find.
The beads, including aurora borealis and French jet glass, are joined together with gold tone wire. This combination makes a fantastic contrast and also looks very luxurious. The necklace is such an elegant length – not too long and not too short. It fastens with a shepherd’s hook clasp and is adjustable for extra versatility.
The matching earrings are simply stunning, with a long drop of 2 ¾” including the wires. They have brand new gold plated hooks. The hooks are designed to fit securely, allowing you to showcase these stunning earrings without worrying about them slipping off.

The extender measures: 2”
Earrings measure: 2.75” or 7cm drop, including the hooks.
The wedge shaped beads measure approximately: 17mm in length
