A really rare and unusual antique Art Deco Trade Beads choker necklace – a totally unique hand-crafted piece. The necklace is made up of ‘Hubbell’ beads – fabulous vibrant turquoise art glass beads, with wonderful swirling detail. And deep cobalt blue art glass lapis, also with fabulous swirling. They are strung along with genuine lapis lazuli (round beads) and early plastic celluloid faux egg yolk amber oval beads, which makes a fantastic contrast.
The necklace is from the old kingdom of Bohemia, in Czechoslovakia. It appears to be on the original thread, which still seems strong. The necklace fastens with a bolt ring clasp. The perfect piece for a collector of old beads.
EVERYTHING IS ALL ORIGINAL
A short choker style necklace, which measures: 15.25″ or 38.5cm. Please measure your neck to ensure a good fit.
The large ‘amber’ beads measure approximately: 17.5 – 18.5mm
