A stunning antique art deco lacquered celluloid parrot letter opener. A totally unique hand-painted treasure from the 1920s, this exquisite piece combines functionality with artistry. Along with the beautiful hand-painted feathers, the parrot has glass eyes, which really bring it to life.

Measures: 8” in length, or 20.5cm
The letter opener is painted in a very similar way on both sides. The paintwork and lacquer on the parrot is in fantastic condition. The black lacquer is a little worn in places, mainly along the edges, but I don’t think this detracts in any way from its immense charm.
