A breathtaking antique Art Deco Venetian Murano, or Bohemian Czech, lava foil glass beads lavalier necklace. The necklace has been completely hand-made by expert craftsmen and could be either Venetian or Czech, as these beads were made in both regions at that time. The colours are just wonderful – predominantly green, with silver and gold, which really mesmerise when they catch the light. Along with the gorgeous flat(ish) square pinched beads, there are three cone shaped beads, which are really stunning – one of these forms the central drop. The foil beads contrast beautifully with the bicone transparent green beads. All of the beads shimmer beautifully when they catch the light.
A fantastic piece – in wonderful original condition. The rolled gold links are still lovely and shiny even now. The necklace fastens with a shepherds hook clasp.
A lovely length – not too long and not too short. Measures: 17″ or 43cm
The central drop measures a further 1.25”, or 3cm
