An exquisitely beautiful antique Bohemian Czech Emerald Green Uranium Glass dropper negligee necklace – which will take your breath away! Crafted during the cusp of the Edwardian and Art Deco eras, this necklace mesmerises when it catches the light. Many of the beads fluoresce bright green under UV light, due to the trace uranium content, which is worth noting, is totally harmless.
This is a very old and delicate piece, which is still very wearable today, but would need to be treated with care. The necklace fastens with its original bolt ring clasp, which is working well. The filigree parts of the necklace are made from brass, which has been ‘silvered’. There is some minor surface wear here and there, where the silvering has worn back to the brass, but I think this shows that it is an older piece and just adds to its immense charm. Unsigned, but undoubtedly Czech, from the old Kingdom of Bohemia. Such a beautiful and Unique piece!
