A beautiful pair of original antique Art Deco silver and pink foil glass earrings, which could have been made in either Venice, or Czechoslovakia. My best guess is Czech. The beads are simply beautiful – they have silver foil on the inside and are textured with indentations on the outside. These indentations have been painted with a pretty pink colour, which makes a lovely contrasting swirl effect against the silver. The bronze/rose gold coloured screw mechanisms are working well. They have a nice age-related patina. There is a little bit of verdigris here and there, but I think this just adds to their immense charm and shows that they are older pieces.
They look stunning when they catch the light. They are very pretty and feminine too.
These earrings are Original Antique Art Deco, they are not made up with old beads, as so many are these days. These older earrings are getting scarcer and harder to find.
Each earring measures approximately: 1.25″ or 32mm drop
The beads measure approximately: 16mm diameter
