A beautiful and unusual antique Art Deco Bohemian Czech harlequin beads double strand necklace. The beads are in lovely vibrant colours and it makes for a stunning contrast with the black spacer beads. The harlequin beads are made from poured glass – you can see the faint mould marks in the middle of many of the beads, if you look closely. The red beads have a delicate lustre finish and they each have a pretty brass bead cap. The necklace just naturally seems to twist itself – I think because it has been worn this way for many years. It is on the original thread, which still seems strong. It fastens with the original chrome plated screw barrel clasp.
