Step into the glamour and sophistication of the Art Deco era, with this breathtaking necklace, set with the most stunning huge emerald cut amethyst pastes and ice white diamond paste crystals. All of the stones are present and sparkling, all original to the piece. The purple stones are gold foiled and set into open back settings for maximum sparkle. This shows that it is an earlier piece. Quite often with these open back stones, the gold foil wears off and this spoils the look and sparkle of them, but as you can see from the photographs, they are in wonderful condition.
The necklace is rhodium plated, which is a metal of the platinum family, used on high end costume jewellery to prevent tarnishing. The necklace and chain are still fabulously shiny even now. The necklace fastens with a bolt ring clasp.
Looks spectacular when it catches the light!
