A very striking vintage Art Deco modernist carved malachite face mask pendant necklace. The malachite is lovely and glossy, with beautiful swirling markings, which are rather difficult to show on the photographs. It’s such a tactile piece, and heavy too. It could be worn on your own chain, or ribbon.
There is some minor age related surface wear, which is to be expected, and a tiny chip on the reverse, which doesn’t show from the front. These minor imperfections don’t in any way detract from its immense charm (please see penultimate photo).
Measures approximately: 2.5″ x 2″, or 65mm x 47mm
Weight is a substantial: 50g
