Vintage Mid Century Gerda Lynggaard Style Carved Bone Buffalo/Bovine Beads Multi Strand Long Necklace. Tribal African. Boho. Present Gift.
Circa 1950’s
A really attractive and unusual vintage mid-century dyed bone beads multi-strand long necklace, very much in the style of Gerda Lynggaard, but much earlier. The beads are a beautiful aged antique brown – they are lovely, smooth and glossy. It’s a very tactile piece. It fastens with a button through a loop (the same way that Gerda’s do). There is a bit of fraying close to the clasp, where the necklace has been put on and taken off over many years, but it’s all intact. It’s worth noting that the necklace is long enough to go over the head without undoing the clasp. It’s a fabulous piece and there is nothing which detracts in any way from its immense charm.
