A fabulously shiny mid-century Mizpah chrome and enamel lucky shamrock/clover leaf and feather sweetheart brooch.
The meaning of Mizpah jewellery: ‘Lord watch between me and thee while we are apart’. These were often given as love tokens when the lovers were apart, as a reminder of precious time spent together and so that the recipient knew they would return.
The brooch is in Wonderful Condition, with no enamel losses. There is some nice vein detail to the enamel leaves. Signed on the reverse, along with the two interlocking hearts and arrow symbol.
