Vintage ZANDRA RHODES Wiggle Design Fabric Square Tablecloth Scarf Hand Made Embroidered Chain Stitch 1970s Unique Fashion Embroidery
Circa early 1970’s
A Fabulous vintage embroidered fabric square, with the iconic ‘Wiggle’ design – one of Zandra Rhodes signature designs. This piece of embroidery has many uses: as a tablecloth, neck scarf, or for display. There is no label, but I strongly believe it is by Iconic British Fashion Designer Zandra Rhodes.
The fabric is a heavy cotton, with a lovely satin sheen. The embroidery is in chain stitch and looks to me as though it has been done by hand. The wiggle design is in vibrant red and brown, which contrasts well with the off white background. There are a couple of very light marks from being in storage for so long, however, this is barely even noticeable. I think it is likely to wash out, but I will leave it to the buyer to decide what they would like to do.
